Info! The company is working hard to release the first updates
Samsung is one of the few handset makers that doesn't have any of its smartphones running Android 7.0 Nougat. It could have been the Galaxy Note 7, but after two recalls the phone's production and sales have been permanently halted.Now the only hope for Samsung to have an Android 7.0 Nougat smartphone by the end of the year is to release the update for one of its device. Obviously, the device should be the latest flagship the South Korean company launched on the market, the Galaxy S7/S7 edge.
Many of you probably know by now that Samsung has already announced the Galaxy Beta program for the S7 and S7 edge, but that's limited to some countries and select users.
While the update for these particular two devices are expected to arrive in the coming weeks, it unclear what other phones will receive the Nougat update and when.
The good news is a new report claims Samsung is hard at work to bring Android 7.0 Nougat to as many smartphones and tablets and possible.
However, next in line after the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge are the two flagships from last year, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge.
On top of that, the same source reports Samsung also working at Android 7.0 Nougat for the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy Tab S2 tablet.
This seems to be just a confirmation that the update is now in the works and that it's coming, but no real time-frame is available for the moment.
Honestly, we don't believe there will be any Galaxy Beta programs for the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy Tab S2, but it's nice to know that these not exactly new devices will be getting the Nougat update as soon as possible. So, there you have it folks, expect some Nougat love from Samsung pretty soon.
